Eventi a Scuola
On the 6th April we went to the African Asian and Latin American Film Festival in Milan. We saw Bambanti (Scarecrow) by Zig Dulay. Alessandra De Rossi starred as main character. At the end of the film she joined the cinema and the students could interview her. The interview was in English because she said her Italian was broken. Here’s the interview.
– Why do you have an Italian name?
– Because my father is Italian even if I was born in England, I lived in Italy and my family moved to Philippines when I was a child.
– Why did you decide to become an actress?
– Because I wanted to skip school as I wasn’t a good student owing to the language. So when I was 15 I left the school and I started to act but now I regret. So guys keep studying.
– Was it difficult to act as a mum?
– No, because I have done it since I started to act.
– How can you cry when acting?
– I’m sensitive and that helps me. I listen to the director’s advice and I think about the difficult moments in my life.
– Is the story of the film a real story
– Yes, It is
– Does the title of the film, Scarecrow have a particular meaning?
– Yes, scarecrows are the symbol of power which scares you but stands still, without helping poor people.
